Forecourt UK shows live petrol and diesel prices from over 8,000 fuel stations across the UK. We use the UK government's official Fuel Finder data — the same source every fuel retailer is legally required to update — so the prices you see are pulled directly from the source, not estimated or crowdsourced.

Where does the data come from?

In 2026, the UK government introduced the Fuel Finder scheme, requiring every petrol station in the country to report their prices to a central, public database whenever they change. Forecourt UK reads directly from that official feed. We don't rely on user-submitted prices or guesswork — every price on this site traces back to the government's own data.

How often are prices updated?

We check the government feed regularly throughout the day. When a station changes its price, that update flows through to Forecourt UK without you needing to do anything. If a price ever looks out of date, always confirm at the pump before you fill up — prices can occasionally change between our last check and your visit.

Why does accuracy matter?

Independent reviews have found that a majority of fuel price comparison tools rely on outdated or stale data — sometimes hours or days old. That gap is exactly what Forecourt UK was built to close: by reading directly from the same official source retailers themselves report to, we aim to be one of the most accurate fuel price tools available in the UK.
